1. Introduction & Commitment to Privacy

Crypto Software Consulting LLC, doing business as MatTime ("we", "us", or "our"), provides a real-time wrestling meet management, live scoring, and streaming platform accessible at mattime.live. We recognize the importance of safeguarding personal information, especially for student-athletes, coaches, parents, and school athletic departments.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, how it is secured, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Registration: When you register as a Coach or Scorekeeper, we collect your name, email address, password hash, and optional school or team affiliation.
• Team Rosters & Wrestling Data: Authorized coaches provide athlete names, weight classes, grade levels, win/loss records, pin counts, and official weigh-in data (such as NFHS minimum wrestling weight descent parameters).
• Public Meet & Scoring Results: Live period clock times, scoring points, dual meet results, tournament brackets, and live stream video URLs entered by coaches are published for real-time spectator display.
• Payment & Billing Data: Payment card numbers, expiration dates, and billing addresses are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. MatTime never stores raw credit card details on our servers.
• Mobile Phone Numbers (SMS Alerts): If you choose to opt in to receive live wrestling-event SMS alerts (e.g. on-deck notifications and match results for wrestlers on your watchlist), we collect your mobile phone number.
• Device & Usage Telemetry: Anonymized usage data such as browser type, operating system, IP address, and pages visited collected via Vercel Analytics and Google AdSense to monitor reliability and prevent abuse.

3. Student-Athlete Privacy (COPPA & FERPA Alignment)

Because wrestling programs frequently include minor student-athletes (High School, Junior High, and Youth divisions), MatTime strictly complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA, 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506) and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) standards:

• Strict Under-13 Account Prohibition & Signup Age Gate: Children under 13 are prohibited from creating independent accounts on MatTime. We enforce an affirmative age gate during registration requiring users to certify that they are at least 13 years of age (or an adult coach, parent, or legal guardian).
• Adult / Coach Managed Rosters: Minor student-athletes do not create accounts or submit personal data independently. Team profiles, rosters, and tournament brackets are created and managed exclusively by verified school coaches, athletic directors, or adult guardians with legitimate educational or parental authority.
• Data Minimization: We collect only the minimum athlete data required for official meet operations, bout scoring, bracket seedings, and weight certification compliance.
• No Commercial Exploitation: Athlete information is never sold to data brokers, advertisers, or third-party marketers.
• Parental & Coach Rights: Head coaches, athletic directors, and parents retain full rights to inspect, update, anonymize, or permanently delete student-athlete records at any time upon request.

4. Cookies, Advertising & Zero Session Replay

MatTime utilizes lightweight cookies and local browser storage to keep you logged in, persist offline meet state, and remember your scorekeeper settings.

5. Data Security & Storage

MatTime employs enterprise-grade security protocols, including TLS/HTTPS encryption in transit, strict OWASP Content Security Policies (CSP), and Google Firebase Firestore security rules ensuring strict tenant isolation between opposing schools. API routes verifying tokens are protected by rate-limiting algorithms to mitigate automated denial-of-service attacks.

6. SMS & Text Messaging Policy (Twilio A2P 10DLC Compliance)

MatTime offers optional SMS text messaging alerts to provide parents, spectators, and coaches with real-time updates during live wrestling events:

• Mobile Number Collection & Consent: Mobile phone numbers are collected exclusively when you affirmatively opt in to receive live match text alerts (e.g., checking the SMS consent box during signup, in your profile settings, or when adding an athlete to your watchlist). Consent to receive SMS messages is separate, voluntary, and not required as a condition of using MatTime or purchasing paid subscriptions.
• Purpose & Message Types: SMS messages are sent strictly for live wrestling-event notifications for the athletes and events you follow. Messages include on-deck warnings (~3 minutes before a bout), call-to-mat notifications, and final bout result summaries. We do not send promotional or marketing SMS broadcasts.
• Message Frequency: Message frequency varies depending on the number of followed athletes and active matches during scheduled wrestling meets. Messages are only transmitted during live events that you follow.
• Rates & Fees: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and wireless rate plan. MatTime charges no fee to receive SMS alerts.
• Opt-Out & Unsubscribe (STOP): You can cancel SMS notifications at any time. To opt out, simply reply STOP to any SMS alert received from MatTime, or toggle off SMS alerts in your account settings. You will receive a one-time confirmation SMS verifying your opt-out.
• Help & Customer Support (HELP): For assistance or questions regarding text alerts, reply HELP to any SMS alert or contact our support team at coach@mattime.live.
• Strict Carrier Privacy Commitment (Zero Third-Party Sharing): Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent data will never be sold, rented, leased, or shared with third parties, affiliates, or marketing partners for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are strictly excluded from any third-party sharing.
